1. best friend

    My best friend is hands down thee best listener and best advice giver in this entire effing universe. She’s in grad school now studying to be a counselor and honestly there is no one in this world that can compare to her wisdom and advice. She’s so in tune with a person’s words and actions, its truly a gift from God. She is my go to person for everything and she never fails to listen to all my bullcrap for hours on end. Last night I called her with some issues I was having and gosh damn everytime I call her I always think, 

    “Why do I even bother? She says all the right things and I never listen.”

    She said something that really stuck with me last night:

    “Feelings are fleeting, people are momentary and they will always, always disappoint. The only thing you can count on is God’s love and when you have that inside of you, you won’t need to depend on anyone else’s validations or uplifting words. There will be no need to look for love anywhere else when you have Him filled up inside of you.”

    I want to feel it so bad.
